Steering Removal

To make the job easier and more comfortable – clean the steering stem and adjacent parts before start.
Before start remove next components:
Front Wheel
Front Fender
Front Forks
Handlebars

11. If steering bearing race remover tool is not available, some long punch with a hammer can be used. Insert the punch into the steering head and catch the edge of bearing race. Hit the punch using a hummer and work around circumference of bearing race.

12. After the bearings races have been removed – clean the steering head. Remove old grease, grime, and rust from the bearing bores. Inspect the condition of the steering head in the frame. Remove any burrs that may inhibit the installation of the new bearing races.
